Have you seen "The Dark Knight"? They say Heath Ledger's performance as "The Joker" is amazing. Sadly, he died of an accidental overdose a few months ago, before the film was released. Some people think he should get a posthumous Oscar nomination. What's your opinion? Vote on the poll!
Here's a trailer of The Dark Knight. Comment away!

About the movie:
I understand nowadays blockbusters usually suck, but that's not a reason to say that Batman is "the best movie ever".
There are several failures, such as the "bar/cheap philosophy" and the lack of basic Physics notions.
The Joker is the most important character in the film. The development of Harvey Dent during the movie is nice, it shows that even the most pure person can become evil. Bruce Wayne is passing through many psychological conflicts (now that's a good thing, Christopher Nolan should get a medal, because the movie doesn't seem child-ish at all).
The end is quite interesting too. It shows that life is - usually - unfair. He ended up chased like a dog, without the recognition he should have got.
It's 7/10 (way better than other heroes' movies, though).
About Ledger:
They wouldn't say he deserves an Oscar, if he was alive. Death sells.
Victor,
Your comments on The Dark Knight are very interesting and thought-provoking.
What is exactly "the bar/cheap philosophy"? I'm not sure what it means.
I don't know, sorry! hahaha I just remember that - during the film - I said to my friend: "haha Nice, that's 'bar philosophy'!".
As I said in the Iron Man post, I don't like these kind of movie because I'm a comic reader. I have to admit that Batman Begins is a interesting movie, but The Dark Knight is a pop movie. I liked the new Joker, better than Jack Nicholson and the old Joker from the 60's. But no director can make a Joke as Frank Miller, Alan Moore or Neal Adams.
Batman Begins is a copy of Frank Miller's Batman: Year One and The Dark Knight has the same name as one of the most famous Frank Miller's work. I really hope that he sues them.
And thank God there's no Harley Quinn in this movie!
Victor and Pedro,
I love your comments. Keep blogging!
